Spiritual Fitness: As endurance athletes we develop aerobic fitness by balancing the three elements of the fitness triangle: 1) Stress, 2) Recovery, 3) Adaptation. With pure intent and resolute vision, we are clear in our choice to train athletically, to embrace the stress and balance it with recovery and adaptation.
Every experience in our daily lives can be a “spiritual training session”. We can do this with each life experience by balancing the components of stress, recovery and adaptation. Spiritual fitness is our capacity to remain centered and to retain pure intent, resolute vision and deliberate choice, even in the most difficult and uncomfortable experiences of our lives.
